Year 1

You will study mathematics and engineering fundamentals including design, dynamics, electronics, materials, manufacturing, statics, thermodynamics and engineering skills. These courses are supported by individual and group project and laboratory work.

Year 2

You will study further basic engineering subjects including applicable mathematics, applied mechanics, fluid mechanics, microeconomics, engineering computing, materials, power electronics, thermodynamics and design and manufacture.

Year 3

You will visit a number of industries in China and study more advanced engineering subjects including dynamics and control; fluid power; engineering design; fluid mechanics; thermodynamics of engines; heat transfer; instrumentation and data systems; materials and manufacture; mathematical modeling and simulation; and mechanics of materials and structures.

Years 4

In year 4 you will study a selection of courses from a list which includes engineering law, marketing, microeconomics, advanced thermal engineering, control, lasers and electro-optic systems, materials engineering, mechanics of solids, robotics, and vibration. You will also undertake final project work.

NUAA’s International Link: The BE Mechanical Engineering allows you to take your project in China. NUAA has partnered with top universities in the USA, Australia, and EU where some students take their third or fourth year of study.

Admission Requirement

The applicant must be in good health and under the age of 25 

High School graduate with A level/10+2/WAEC or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory core subjects. 

Students who are currently pursuing their final year at high school could also apply as long as they can obtain their graduation diploma before enrolling at the university.
