President of University of Michigan-Dearborn Prof. Daniel Little visited NUAA

On November 15th, a delegation led by University of Michigan-Dearborn (UMD) President Daniel Little visited Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. President Prof.Nie Hong met with foreign delegates cordially. Leaders and representatives of International Cooperation Office, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, College of Economics and Management, College of International Education attended the meeting.

President Nie Hong extended his welcome to President Daniel Little, briefed him on the basic situation of NUAA, and had further discussion about initializing a deep cooperation on the academic exchange program for faculties, cooperative scientific research, the establishment of International Joint laboratory as well as joint student training program between NUAA and UMD.

President Daniel Little thanked NUAA for the hospitality and said that Nanjing and NUAA left a deep and nice impression on him. He also noted that UMD shared many similarities with NUAA, and the cooperative education in engineering and economic management could be a good start for joint cooperation between two universities by carrying out communication and cooperation in more aspects and achieve more success in the future.

During the meeting, UMD China Project Minister, Professor Chen Yubao gave a detailed introduction of the history of UMD, the setting of subjects and the mode of cooperative education.
